-This piece is a non-native tribute to the Cheyenne Nation, faithfully and respectfully recreated in the traditional ways.
Now showing our first Cheyenne style beaded knife sheath, and dagger (Circa 1875.)
Lavished with exquisite tribal design, and radiating with the pride of the Great Plains!
The sheath is made with a top quality dear hide, hand-stitched in sinew. A brilliant bead pattern in the upper section, representing the four sacred directions, with a highly detailed triangle pattern below. This precise design reflects the exact detailing of the original historical piece.
Two twisted leather straps with wood pegs function as the harnessing for the sheath. A beautiful wrapped bead two tassel tail hangs at the base.
The northern Plains dagger is made from hand forged steel, and aged to authenticity. A full tang knife, slid into a hand-carved pine handle, studded with rivets, and wrapped with rugged rawhide.
The sheath measures roughly 11.5” by 4”, with the total length of 26“.
The dagger blade measures 7.5” with a total length of 13.5”.
