Cheyenne style Pipe Tomahawk Circa 1860-1880

-This piece is a non-native tribute to the Cheyenne, Nation, faithfully and respectfully recreated in the traditional ways.

Now showing our latest Cheyenne style pipe, Tomahawk.

Exquisitely, detailed with traditional detailing from top to bottom. Beginning with a beautifully aged hand-forged, steel blade and pipe bowl at the head, on an aged redwood staff. A striking display of brass tacks along the shaft create a fierce  presence in this piece.

An embellished hand grip of deer hide with fringe, with traditional Cheyenne bead work at the head and foot.

A beautiful beaded drop tail  hangs at the base of the shaft, with an ascending pattern of pony and Czech beads in two tone blue and burgundy.

On the rear of this drop tail, we see what would have been a warriors pictorial description of battle achievements.

Along the middle and top, Horse tracks representing stolen horses, and bullets dodged in battle at the bottom.

Exquisite fringe accented with aged tin cones, hang from the base of the tail.

The shaft of this piece measures 18 inches, with a total length of 40 inches.

No animals are slaughtered commercially for the making of our pieces, and the majority of the materials are found along the many miles of hiking the great outdoors.
