About this Product

-This piece is a non-native tribute to the Lakota Nation, faithfully and respectfully recreated in the traditional ways.

Now showing our second horned war bonnet in all its splendor.

This intricately detailed, highly rugged display is nothing short of magnificent.

Starting with a treated stiff crown of Rocky Mountain Elk hide, giving the bonnet sturdy form, and lined with a soft golden tanned deer hide making this piece wearable and smooth inside.

Two perfectly shaped buffalo horns lavished with black horsehair, with a beautiful traditional brow band in black, blue, white and red.

Warriors bells stitched in just above the brow band giving the bonnet a jingle as it moves. Wooden beads on sinew straps merge the horns and crown along with a red leather strapping.

The rear of the bonnet contains aged ermine pelts and rugged feathers. The sheer beauty and uniqueness of this piece come from the purely wild arrangement of assorted feathers.

Radiating in all directions in a perfectly blended configuration of colors, the artist shows there is a true beauty in rugged arrangement.

No doubt a stunning specimen for your private or public collection, and sure to be the conversation piece of any room it occupies.

This piece does include the hand made wooden stand shown in photos, so display is simple. The piece sits roughly two and a half feet high when mounted.
